Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using MenQR ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

MenQR is available exclusively to restaurants and food businesses operating within Pakistan. You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to operate the business you register. By signing up, you confirm that both conditions are met.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering and setting up your restaurant profile.
  • One account per restaurant. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or obtain multiple free trials is not permitted.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use MenQR only for its intended purpose: creating and displaying a digital menu for your real food business. You must not:

  • Create fake, fictitious, or test menus that are made publicly visible to customers.
  • Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or violates any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Use the platform to deceive customers (e.g., listing items not actually available, using false pricing).
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform or its API.
  • Use automated tools to interact with the Service without our written permission.
  • Resell or sublicense access to MenQR to any third party.

5. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all menu content you upload (item names, descriptions, photos, restaurant logo). By uploading content, you grant MenQR a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service on your behalf. We will never use your menu content for advertising or share it with third parties.

6. AI-Generated Descriptions

MenQR offers an AI tool to generate menu item descriptions using Anthropic's Claude API. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point only. You are responsible for reviewing and ensuring that all published descriptions are accurate, truthful, and compliant with applicable food labeling or advertising regulations.

7. Billing & Subscriptions

  • Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
  • The one-time setup fee (PKR 10,000) is charged at the time of service delivery and is non-refundable.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Pricing changes:We will give at least 30 days' notice via email before changing subscription prices. Your rate is locked for the current billing period in which notice is given.
  • Failure to pay will result in suspension of your account after a 7-day grace period.

8. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without refund if you:

  • Violate any provision of these Terms.
  • Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • Attempt to harm the platform, other users, or customers.

You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard. Upon cancellation, your account and public menu will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which access will be removed.

9. Service Availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. MenQR is not liable for any losses resulting from downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, MenQR's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost revenue or reputational harm).

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Lahore, Pakistan.
